Hockey national goalkeeper Mark Appel moves from the Crefelder HTC to the Club an der Alster for the 2018/2019 season. When it comes to hamburgers, he will replace Felix Reuss, who is moving to Bavaria, as the new number one.
Appel has been part of the German A-squad for a year now and shares the Nationalkeeper post with national coach Stefan Kermas with Tobias Walter from the Harvestehuder THC.
“I am incredibly pleased that we have managed to re-occupy the vacant goalkeeping position with Mark Appel,” said Alster coach Fabian Rozwadowski. “With Mark we have one of the most talented goalkeepers in Germany for our team.”
The 23-year-old has long proven that he can not only between the posts. Appel had to help out at the World League in the field – and scored in the match for third place the only goal of the Germans.
