The German biathletes have to do without Denise Herrmann in the first World Cup after the Olympic Winter Games.
The 29-year-old Oberwiesenthaler does not fly to Kontiolahti in Finland for health reasons, the German Ski Association announced. The DSV did not provide more detailed information at first.
For the skijager are after the season highlight in South Korea still three exhausting World Cup weeks on the program. In Finland, the men’s sprint starts on Thursday and the women start the day after. On Saturday the singles mixed and mixed relay will be on the program, on Sunday the two mass start races.
After Kontiolahti follows the eighth season World Cup in Oslo. The season finale will take place from March 22nd to 25th in Tyumen in Siberia.
